"Personalized Training For Your Unique Canine"
TRAINING
We offer a variety of programs including basic, intermediate, & advanced obedience
training; AKC Canine Good Citizen certification, AKC Trick Dog; and specialized
training: Emotional Support Dog, Therapy Dog, Service Dog, and Behavior
Rehabilitation. All training is done using positive reinforcement techniques (dogs learn
faster and retain what they learn better than any other method). We do not use choke chains, prong collars, or electric shock collars.
Most dogs start with Level 1 Training which includes basic obedience skills (sit, down,
stay, come, loose-leash walking, leave-It (stop unwanted behavior), and socialization
(behaving around other people and dogs). Training includes a stimulating dog confidence
course consisting of many challenging obstacles. Learning to navigate the different obstacles builds the dog’s confidence, and judgment, and enables them to use their developed skills to better cope when confronted with new and different environments.
The program also teaches owners various techniques to properly train their dog, correct
unwanted behavior, dealing with distractions, and taking your dog in public places. You
both can continue to build your skills by continuing your training (intermediate, advanced,
etc.) which includes training in public places, using hand signals, and earning additional
AKC Awards signifying your successful accomplishments.
Basic, intermediate, & advanced obedience group training classes are 6 weeks/sessions in duration. classes meet once per week.
-
AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) – is a family of training awards and titles
that any dog, purebreds & mixed breeds, in our program can earn: AKC S.T.A.R.
Puppy program (Socialization, Training, Activity, and Responsible owner), AKC
Canine Good Citizen, AKC Community Canine, and AKC Urban Canine.
-
AKC Trick Dog – is a fun, enjoyable program that has four competitive levels
(novice, intermediate, advanced, and performer) so dogs with any amount of
experience can participate – and earn awards. Teaching your dog tricks is
enjoyable for owners, mentally stimulating for dogs, promotes bonding, and teaches
obedience.
-
Emotional Support Dog (ESD), Therapy Dog (TD), & Service Dog (SD) – While any dog can be trained, it must be understood that not all dogs make a good ESD, TD, or SD. Our program evaluates dogs to ensure they have the temperament and
behaviors needed to be reliable and well-behaved when in public. We also ensure
they are trained to meet individual needs and comply with Federal/State ADA
guidelines and Therapy Dogs can pass the certification requirements for the
registered organization.
Specialized Programs
Prior to starting training, I have a “Meet & Greet” with you and your dog to evaluate
the dog’s temperament and ability to be in a group training class. It also allows
you to see how we train and decide if you want to enter the training program. All
of our services are reasonably and competitively priced.

Great experience with this trainer. I had a foster dog who was very reactive to other dogs. We participated in three sessions with other dogs who we're also shy. We did some work in the agility equipment. His behavior improved noticeably. Definitely recommend!!

Me and my German Shepherd/Malinois love this place! Earnie is so natural with dogs and knows exactly how to interact with my pup who can be fearful, wary of strangers, reactive to dogs, and also hyperactive. We’ve only had 3 training sessions, but he’s already made such good progress and training is the one thing both me and my pup look forward to every week (my dog literally squeals with excitement when he realizes where we’re going)! Earnie really takes the time to know and understand your dog, whereas every other place we’ve gone to is very “cookie cutter” training which doesn’t work when your dog isn’t a “cookie cutter” dog. I couldn’t recommend Earnie enough, we waited 5 months to get into training (due to training being down post hurricane) but we are so happy we waited it out and didn’t go somewhere else.

I have loved our experience with K9 training Panama City. My two Aussies have come such a long way in the first 6 weeks they started training. Earnie is so knowledgeable and a fantastic trainer with the dogs. My once crazy anxiety boy is now a happy confident dog because of training. They love going to training! Continuing into another session! Highly recommend for any pet training needs!

Earnie is amazing, and so patient with my babies! Just completed STAR and my INSANELY hyper Mollie couldn’t walk on a leash without pulling me down the road to begin with and now we can loose leash walk everyday! I have seen SUCH improvement in my dog!!

Thank you Earnie for our great first experience with puppy training! He is 80 lbs at 7 months and we definitely needed some direction training for Milo. You have been fantastic!
